Niklas Grapatin is a photographer based in Hamburg, Germany. In 2011 he began his studies of photojournalism- and documentary photography in Hanover, followed by an internship as a staff photographer at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. In 2017 he went to Bangladesh to continue his studies at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute in Dhaka, under the guidance of Munem Wasif.
For him it's important to always find a visual language that matches with the subject and communicates the matter in the most intense and emotional way.
His work got published in various magazines and newspapers like DIE ZEIT, Amnesty Journal, SZ-Magazin, brandeins and F.A.Z. Besides working on personal projects he is available for editorial and commercial assignments. Niklas also shoots weddings. You can find his portfolio on Hochzeit-im-Blick
