Niklas is a photographer based in Hamburg with
a focus on portraits. He works for magazines like
DER SPIEGEL and DIE ZEIT. In 2020 he was nominated
for the Nannen-Preis with his personal project
White Noise”. He does commercial work for clients
like Telekom-Stiftung or Straub&Straub. He studied
photojournalism in Hanover, worked as a staff
photographer for the F.A.Z. and spent some time in
Bangladesh. Now he is back in his hometown
Hamburg and available for assignments.

Bio
Niklas Grapatin is a photographer based in Hamburg,        
Germany. In 2011 he began his studies of    
photojournalism- and documentary photography in
Hanover, followed by an internship as a staff
photographer at the F.A.Z. In 2017 he went to Bangladesh
to continue his studies at Pathshala South Asian Media
Institute in Dhaka. For him it's important to always find a
visual language that matches with the subject and
communicates the matter in the most intense and
emotional way. His work got published in various
magazines and newspapers like DIE ZEIT, Amnesty
Journal, SZ-Magazin, brandeins, F.A.Z. and DER
SPIEGEL. Besides working on personal projects he is
available for editorial and commercial assignments.
